LOS ANGELES, CA (October 12, 2021) – As youth athletes and families return to playing fields this fall season, MOJO, the Webby Award-winning sports app, announced a key hire to drive growth and partnerships. Tom Arnett has been named Chief Customer Officer to support customer initiatives as MOJO looks to accelerate growth.

This addition builds on the momentum and rapid growth MOJO has experienced since launching in February 2021, with more than 200,000 users engaging on MOJO platforms in the last month. Over the past six months, MOJO has announced multiple marquee partnerships including content and coaching collaborations with the NBA, FC Barcelona, and NFL Flag.

With Arnett joining MOJO, the company is expected to accelerate the announcement of new partnerships with top youth sports organizations and pro leagues, as well as deepen existing relationships with key partners.

“MOJO is committed to providing the very best tools for families and coaches, and Tom brings deep experience and relationships that will drive faster growth and greater customer success,” said Ben Sherwood, founder and CEO of MOJO, former co-chair of the Disney Media Networks, and a parent-coach for his two sons over the last 12 years. “Tom knows the youth sports space, he has a proven record of success at the intersection of youth sports and technology, and he will help lead MOJO to the next level.”

Arnett, previously the CEO of Blue Sombrero and later the General Manager of Stack Sports / Sports Connect following a 2019 acquisition, brings a wealth of sports industry and management experience to the role. In his time with Stack Sports and Blue Sombrero, he led a business whose technology powered nearly 50 governing bodies including Little League Baseball and US Soccer, over 15,000 youth sports clubs and leagues, and 7 million youth sports families each year.

“I’m thrilled and honored to join the MOJO team,” said Arnett. “There has been so much innovation in youth sports over the last ten years, but nothing I’ve seen in that time has captivated me quite like the work the MOJO team is doing. Our goal is nothing short of making sure that every single child who plays sports has a magical first experience on their way to a lifelong love of that sport. The impact on everyone involved in youth sports will be profound.”

The MOJO app is available on iOS and Android platforms. To learn more about MOJO, visit mojo.sport or follow MOJO on social media via Facebook, TwitterInstagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
